DEEP TISSUE MASSAGE:

  • HOT STONE THERAPY:

    Hot stone therapy is a highly detoxifying type of massage. The stones themselves actually become the tools that you use, and the heat helps to relax the muscles and assimilate the circulation, allowing the toxins to come up to the surface of the skin. At the same time, we incorporate a Swedish massage technique, or you could also incorporate a Shiatsu Massage, and depending on those two, you can help to release the muscle even further, because of the heat.

    Price: $175.00 for one generous hour


     

SWEDISH MASSAGE:

Swedish massage is the most commonly offered and best-known type of massage. If it's you're first time at  the spa, Swedish massage is the perfect place to start.

During Swedish massage, massage therapists,  use massage oils to facilitate smooth, gliding strokes called effleurage. Other classic Swedish massage moves include kneading, friction, stretching and (sometimes) tapping.

Swedish massage uses firm but gentle pressure to promote relaxation, ease muscle tension and create other health benefits.

Price: $150.00 for one generous hour


 

4 Handed Massage: Four-handed massage is a massage where two therapists work on you at the same time, mirroring each others' movements. For instance, both your legs or arms are being massaged at the same time. One therapist works on the right side of your back while the other works on the left.

When done well, four-handed massage feels like you are completely enveloped in sensation and can be quite a wonderful experience. To synchronize, one therapist takes the lead and the other follows, but it should feel like they're doing the same thing simultaneously. It helps if they have a similar style and "touch" and have worked together before.

Price: $300 for one generous hour and 30 minutes

 

THERAPEUTIC MASSAGE:

Therapeutic massage involves the manipulation of the soft tissue structures of the body to prevent and alleviate pain, discomfort, muscle spasm, and stress; and, to promote health and wellness. AMTA defines Massage as, "a manual soft tissue manipulation that includes holding, causing movement, and/or applying pressure to the body."
